Your First Visit

We are committed to providing the best treatment possible in a caring and technologically advanced setting

Your first visit is all about you, your comfort, and your health. During this visit, we will review your dental and medical history, and take X-rays. You will then meet our hygienist who will determine and present the suitable form of cleaning for your teeth conditions. Then, the doctor will meet with you to carry out comprehensive examinations, discuss your X-rays, help you create your own individual treatment plan, and answer any questions that you may have. During your first visit, we typically look at the followings:

  • Diagnostic X-rays as needed: This will help us to determine tooth position and root angulations as well as determine decay, bone loss and any other possible pathology.
  • Photographs: They say a picture is worth a thousand words. This could not be more true. We believe in showing our patients our findings rather than trying to just explain what we see.
  • Periodontal evaluation:We examine for any sign of gum disease and record full mouth probing levels for present and future reference.
  • Examination of current restorations: All of your present fillings/crowns/bridges/ veneers/implants etc. will be evaluated for function, possible decay, bone loss, and overall level of quality of care.
  • <i "="">Faulty position of teeth: This condition results in the incorrect meeting of teeth or jaws. This situation should be corrected because it predisposes to dental caries, may lead to digestive disorders and inadequate nutrition because of difficulty in chewing, and can cause serious psychological effects if there is facial distortion.
  • Oral cancer screening: We will check your face, neck, lips, tongue, throat, and gums for any signs of cancer or other pathology.

Regular checkups are an important part of maintaining a healthy smile!

The American Dental Association recommends visiting your dentist every six months for regular checkups and routine teeth cleanings to keep your teeth and gums healthy. We understand that you have a busy schedule, so when you're preparing to visit the dentist, please remember that your appointments can last between 45 and 90 minutes.
